Who We Are
Travel in Sri Lanka has long centered on commercial attractions, while the real essence of the island, its people and culture, remains mostly unseen. While travelers were craving genuine connection, local communities were missing the opportunity to share their heritage and benefit from tourism.
Journe was created to bridge this gap. Founded by two passionate travelers, Narththanaa and Puviraj, Journe began as a dream to preserve culture through experience, and to make travel more meaningful, personal, and purpose-driven. What began as simple curiosity evolved into a movement that connects travelers seeking authenticity with communities seeking opportunity.
Now Journe empower local artisans, families, and youth by transforming their traditions into sustainable livelihoods, while giving travelers real stories – not staged experiences, but lived ones.
